Tri-Town Little League must maintain a strong Board of Directors (BOD) to operate efficiently and promote healthy, well-rounded development of our youth baseball and softball players.  We are always looking for volunteers that are interested in making decisions that further our mission and whose primary objective is to positively benefit our league and organization as a whole.

The are two levels to our Board of Directors:  voting and non-voting members.  The BOD chart below shows our structure and which members have voting privileges.   In combination with our coaches and parents, each position is essential to the vitally of the league.  Every year we welcome new members to volunteer to replace outgoing Board Members.  Maintaining an adequate number of active Board members will allow each Board Member to function to their full capacity of their assigned duties and responsibilities.   Doing so will prevent mistakes, problems and issues that to correct, will drain energy, time and resources from our mission of supplying our youth with the best Little League experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

League President Daily Weekly 5 Assumes full responsibility for the operation of the league.  Primary contact between the league and Little League International.   Communicates with surround leagues to develop strategy for league growth.
Secretary Daily Weekly 5 Maintains a register of members and directors; records the minutes of meetings; is responsible for sending out notice of meetings and maintains a record of league’s activities.
VP Of Baseball Daily Weekly 5 Oversee the general operations of all baseball divisions & develops training material for coaches.   Recruits new coaches & people for management positions.  Assists the Baseball Director with any questions, is involved in the draft and scheduling processes. 
Baseball Director Daily Weekly 3 Answer coaching related questions, updates the coaching resources and makes sure the coaches have everything they need.  Involved in the draft and scheduling processes.  Works closely with the Baseball Scheduler
Tee-ball Director Daily Weekly 3 Answer coaching related questions, updates the coaching resources and makes sure the coaches have everything they need.  Involved in the draft and scheduling processes.  Works closely with the Baseball Scheduler
Jr League Director Daily Weekly 3 Answer coaching related questions, updates the coaching resources and makes sure the coaches have everything they need.  Involved in the draft and scheduling processes.  Works closely with the Baseball Scheduler
Baseball Coaching Director Varies Varies 3 A Coaching Director should be familiar with Little League Rules and Regulations to properly perform the duties of the position.  The Coaching Director is tasked with providing coach training and education each year as well as monitoring managers and coaches throughout the year.
Baseball Player Agent Varies Varies 3 Supervises and coordinates the transfer of players to or from divisions according to provisions of the regulations of Little League.  Handles any player issues regarding skill.

Softball Player Agent Varies Varies 3 Supervises and coordinates the transfer of players to or from divisions according to provisions of the regulations of Little League.  Handles any player issues regarding skill. 
VP of Finance Weekly Varies 5 Organizes and manages all finances for the league.  Responsible for IRS taxes, forms and filings.  Works close with their team to make sure all financial rules and regulations are followed and that there are checks & balances in place.
Treasurer Varies Varies 3 Signs checks co-signed by another officer or director; dispenses league funds as approved by the Board of Directors; reports on the status of league funds; keeps local league books and financial records; prepares budgets and assumes the responsibility for all local league finances.
Sponsorships & Fundraising Varies Varies 3 Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations; collects and reviews sponsorship and fundraising opportunities; organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities; coordinates participation in fundraising activities; and maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives.
Scheduler & Registrar Daily Varies 3  
Concessions Manager Varies Varies 3 Maintains the operation of concession facilities; organizes the purchase of concession products; responsible for the management of the concession sales at league events; schedules volunteers to work the concession booth during league events; collects and reviews concession related offers including coupons, discounts, and bulk-purchasing opportunities; and organizes, tallies and keeps records of concession sales and purchases.
VP Of Operations Daily Varies 5 Presides in the absence of the president.  Responsible for all general league communications, develops high level strategy for league growth. Assures that the league operates in a safe manner. 
Communications Director Varies Varies 3 Handles all league wide email and print communications.   Works with local media to promote the interests of the league and coordinates efforts to make the local Little League visible in the community year-round.
Safety Officer Varies Varies 3 Coordinates all safety activities; ensures safety in player training; ensures safe playing conditions; coordinates reporting and prevention of injuries; solicits suggestions for making conditions safer; reports suggestions to Little League International through the league president and prepares the ASAP plan for submission to Little League International
Volunteer Coordinator Varies Varies 3 Primarily responsible for recruiting and organizing new volunteers like coaches, concessions volunteers and board members.
Umpire In Chief Daily Varies 3  
VP of Facilities Varies Varies 5 Primary contact for the Hunter Road Committee, the town of Freeport and other facility related inquires.  Works closely with the team to make sure the fields are safe and playable. 
Equipment Manager Varies Varies 3 Keeps team equipment organized and plentiful.   Purchases new equipment when needed.   Performs end of the season inventory to figure out what needs to be replaced.
Fields & Maintenance Manager Varies Varies 3 General field maintenance when needed.  Make sure there is chalk/paint and liners.  Make sure teams are raking fields when finished and picking up after themselves.  Offer suggestions of better ways to maintain fields.
